All I remember was I’m in a hotel and I was trying to put on my makeup and do my hair and I had to go through different floors to get it and then on one floor. I went into this big room and of course it wasn’t my room, but it was like some of a relatives and their of my ex-husband’s. So I go into the room and then there was one man sitting there, so I decided to put makeup on him and I just like drew on his face and he looked at me like what’s this and I left and then it came back to that same big room and there were more people there but I had to go poop. So he went poop and I saw there was already a lot of poop in there and I flushed the toilet and all the poop came up out of the toilet bowl so I shut the door and there were more of relatives coming of his relatives by ex-husband‘s relatives coming into the into the room and one who was my ex ex-husband sister, my ex sister-in-law, she just looked at me. I looked at her and I walked by and then my ex sister-in-law‘s daughter saw me and said hello and I said well I really gotta go. I really really have to go and that was the end of the tree, but I woke up.
Dreams involving hotels, unfamiliar rooms, and personal grooming tasks can often signify a journey or transition in your life. Let's break down the elements of your dream for a more detailed interpretation:
Hotel Setting: Hotels are often symbolic of a temporary state or in-between phase. They signify a transition or a point between your regular life’s journey and something new. Being in a hotel could indicate that you are in a period of transformation or change, possibly feeling unsettled or uncertain about your current path or decisions.
Applying Makeup and Hair Styling: This part of the dream suggests a focus on self-presentation and identity. You could be trying to redefine how you are perceived by others or even how you perceive yourself. The action of doing your hair and makeup while moving across different floors may suggest you are exploring different aspects or layers of your personality or life.
Familiar-but-Unfamiliar Room: Entering a room that isn’t yours but belongs to a relative of your ex-husband symbolizes a bridge of past connections. It hints at unresolved issues or feelings related to past relationships. These could be emotional baggage or lingering thoughts about your old associations that still reside within your current mindset.
Drawing on the Man’s Face: Applying makeup to a man’s face, especially a stranger, could symbolize a desire to convey or project your feelings or experiences onto someone else. It might represent a need to express creativity or control over how things appear, especially in situations related to past relationships or in setting new boundaries.
Bathroom and Overflowing Toilet: Bathrooms often relate to the need to cleanse oneself emotionally. The overflowing toilet represents an emotional overload or overwhelming situation that you find difficult to contain or manage. This could symbolize emotions, feelings, or situations “coming to a head,” pointing out the necessity for ejecting unwanted emotional or psychological burdens.
Presence of Ex-Husband’s Relatives: Seeing members of your ex-husband’s family suggests lingering attachments or unresolved feelings related to your past relationship. This could also indicate that you are subconsciously processing and integrating experiences or emotions relating to them, seeking closure or peace.
Interaction with Sister-In-Law and Her Daughter: These interactions mark the recognition of the roles others play in your emotional landscape. Greeting a child (the daughter) and showing the urgency to leave might symbolize wanting to move on from innocence, naivety, or past familial connections to shape a new identity for yourself.
Ending with Urgence to Leave: Finally, repeatedly asserting that you “gotta go” signifies a pressing need or desire for forward movement. Yet, waking up feeling the urgency implies apprehension or the fear of what lies ahead, maybe reflecting a need to assert independence yet facing hesitance or ambiguity about how to proceed.
Overall, your dream suggests you are undergoing a transformative phase in life, dealing with past remnants, especially around relationships, and making efforts to redefine yourself. It speaks to the clutter of emotional baggage, the necessity to address and bring closure to lingering issues, and the importance of expressing and managing emotions amidst transition.
